Workshop: Optimizing your TNFD Journey

26 Jun 2024
Nantucket

Stream C: Workshop-Style Roundtable Discussion: Optimizing your TNFD Journey
The final TNFD recommendations require companies to develop a business approach that reduces their impacts on nature and invests in nature-positive or nature-recovery actions. In order to achieve this businesses need to understand:

How their activities interface with, and impact on, nature and biodiversity across their value chain

What data they need to collect, analyze and report in order to make informed decisions and develop appropriate financial and risk management strategies

The TNFD LEAP (Locate, Evaluate, Assess, and Prepare) assessment approach guides businesses through a series of steps to assess these biodiversity impacts and dependencies, and identify related material risks and opportunities.

This workshop will explore the LEAP approach, and provide an opportunity to discuss with peers across different industry sectors, the practical measures organizations can implement to complete the assessment, meet reporting requirements and engage with stakeholders.

It will also include a presentation on Nature Action 100, a Ceres program supporting greater corporate ambition and action on tackling nature and biodiversity loss.
