Dr. Hyrine, based in Seattle , WA is an experienced and certified Sustainability Excellence Associate(SEA), and Educator who is passionate about climate action and transition to low carbon operations and economies. She brings two decades of sustainability experience spanning across academia, corporate and consulting. At Microsoft, Hyrine leads the Supply Chain Sustainability Program, driving the decarbonization of Microsoft Devices manufacturing supply chain to meet the company's Climate commitment. Her role encompasses the development and implementation of comprehensive carbon reduction strategies and ensuring sustainable and responsible supply chain practices. Prior to this role Hyrine worked a Senior Sustainability Specialist for Fisher and Paykel Healthcare, New Zealand where she led the carbon reduction, supplier engagement and sustainability reporting. In addition to her corporate roles, she has a rich background in environmental consulting and higher education, has lectured at the Technical University of Mombasa and provided consultancy services across East Africa and New Zealand. She is a passionate advocate for climate change mitigation and adaptation, with a strong commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
