Jeff Hanson is the Director of Environmental Services and Corporate Sustainability at Alliant Energy, based in Madison, Wisconsin. He and his team coordinate environmental compliance strategies and sustainability disclosures for the company’s subsidiaries across Wisconsin and Iowa. Alliant Energy has been undergoing an active deployment of renewable energy resources with more than 1.8 GW of wind energy and 1.4 GW of solar added to its generation portfolio in recent years. He’s been with Alliant Energy since 2008 and prior to that worked for several years in the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Bureau of Air Management. He has a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in Sustainable Management from the University of Wisconsin.
