About UKELA
Making better law for the environment

UKELA (UK Environmental Law Association) is the leading membership organisation for anyone interested in environmental law, with a diverse network of over 2,000 professionals. We bring together lawyers, academics, consultants, students, regulators, NGOs and others working in environmental law, providing a forum to share knowledge, improve understanding, and support the development of better environmental law. We achieve this by encouraging collaboration, advising and commenting on key environmental law and policy issues, and convening conferences, lectures, seminars and networking events across the UK. These events create space to share developments, best practice and emerging issues across the sector. Our specialist and regional groups reflect the breadth of environmental law in the UK, including nature conservation, climate change and energy, planning and sustainable development, international law, noise and nuisance, water, waste, marine, and environmental litigation.
