Charles is responsible for integrating HSE, ESG risk and sustainability into the investment life cycle for infrastructure companies including maritime and energy sectors. A long career in consultancy (WSP and Royal HaskoningDHV in the UK, Netherlands and Bahrain) provided invaluable experience delivering masterplans, EIAs, audits and sustainability strategies for private and public companies and projects. Five years as Global Environmental Manager at operator DP World saw him mastermind carbon footprinting for their portfolio while encouraging new technologies to help achieve a 27% reduction target.

Charles has been involved with the EEEG (carbon) and PIANC (climate adaptation) and currently sits on the National Maritime SME Working Group. He is a Fellow of both ISEP and the RSA.
