Hariom leads on environment & sustainability at the NISTA, where she has been embedding environmental and social risk assessment and assurance into major project delivery across the UK government.

Prior to joining the NISTA, Hariom spent 16 years working in Shell, in a wide variety of roles including strategy consulting, major project planning, and management of non-technical risks, in particular social and environmental impacts.

Hariom has extensive experience of providing strategy and governance advice to large scale, operated and non-operated, capital projects in the early project stages. She has sat on and advised investment boards and managed the mitigation of environmental and social risks in projects internationally. She has also led on sustainability reporting and disclosure for the Shell group.

Hariom is passionate about driving organisational change to achieve better societal outcomes.
