Huw joined HS2 in March 2022 as Old Oak Common Project Client and is now Director – Stations & Placemaking. Prior to this he held various senior roles on major rail schemes in London and the South-East, all joined by the thread of social and economic regeneration.

His experience spans the design and construction of the Docklands Light Railway, Jubilee Line Extension, Channel Tunnel Rail and modernisation of London Underground stations. Huw was the first Advance Works Project Manager for Crossrail / Elizabeth line, whilst at the same time being the overall Project Manager for Crossrail Line 2. Huw then spent nine years in the team that created the London Overground network and six years managing a series of Network Rail signalling and electrification programmes.

Most recently, Huw was MTR Corporation’s Programme Director supporting the Crossrail / Elizabeth line delivery into service.
