Great Grid Partnership Director, National Grid

Isabelle Adams is the Enterprise Director for the Great Grid Partnership (GGP) at National Grid.

The GGP is a collaborative initiative launched by National Grid which leverages the strengths of multiple partners to achieve ambitious energy goals.

Delivering major onshore Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment projects as part of the broader Great Grid Upgrade across the UK, the key partners include AECOM Arup, WSP, Laing O’Rourke, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure, M Group, Murphy, and Omexon-Taylor Woodrow.

Together, they are focused on delivering nine major projects across England and Wales, transforming the electricity infrastructure to support a sustainable energy future.

The GGP operates within a £9 billion supply chain framework, which will also support infrastructure projects beyond 2030. Employing a programmatic approach to project delivery, the GGP allows for integrated planning and collaboration among partners, designed to accelerate project timelines and improve cost efficiencies.

Isabelle has planned and delivered major infrastructure for over 20 years for some of the world's most cutting-edge programmes including Transport for London and Auckland Rail. She uses a strategic approach and democratic style to lead and create cohesive teams to deliver complex programmes.
