James has spent over 10 years working across the UK Civil Service and arm’s-length bodies, with a strong focus on regulation over public services. Throughout his career, he has championed fair, evidence-based decision making, ensuring the impacts on all affected stakeholders are carefully considered. Over the last five years, James has specialised in data and digital transformation, helping organisations make better use of data to drive informed decisions, improve efficiency, and harness automation and AI. He is currently Head of Major Projects Reporting at the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA), where he oversees reporting on government major project portfolios and leads teams developing digital and AI-enabled tools that turn project data into actionable insights.
