Ms. Agasie has over 30 years of sustainability and policy experience working for the University of Illinois at Chicago, Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City, as the first Environmental Director for the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, and at ComEd prior to joining Cook County's Department of Environment and Sustainability. Ms. Agasie worked extensively in energy efficiency and was involved in the creation of an Energy Efficiency Portfolio for Illinois. Ms. Agasie also created the initial Greenest Region Compact for local municipalities. Ms. Agasie has a BA from the University of Wisconsin and Master of Urban Planning and Policy from UIC.
