Mike has helped 75 organizations create sustainable places, products, services and businesses. He specializes in board advising, designing innovative ventures to achieve an enterprise's environmental and social goals, and embedding sustainable practices throughout company operations. Clients range from startups to Fortune 5 across higher education, technology, real estate, sports, food & bev, finance and public sectors. Previously, he founded MIST, a strategy consulting firm, was Director of Sustainability at the University of Chicago, faculty at Northwestern University, and created the sustainability group at the design firm, SCB. Mike is currently a strategic advisor to Brightwater Climate, a coastal conservation start-up, and Evergreen Climate Solutions, a climate-focused venture capital firm.
