Sarah has an MSc in Pollution and Environmental Control from Manchester University and 25 years of experience in the water industry. She is currently Head of Integrated Water Management at United Utilities, water and sewerage services provider to the North West of England. Her remit includes leading the company’s approach to working with partners to develop an Integrated Water Management approach, scaling up the amount of partnership delivery and unlocking a greater catchment focus with associated use of nature-based solutions. This has included exciting developments in Greater Manchester where her team are working with the Combined Authority and Environment Agency on an Integrated Water Management Plan for the city region as well as leading Ofwat Innovation projects to mainstream nature-based solutions and unlock the power of citizen science.
