Julie Sinistore

Vice President, Sustainability, Energy and Climate Change, WSP US
As a Vice President with the Sustainability, Energy and Climate Change (SECC) team at WSP, Julie brings multiple skills to WSP. With 17 years of experience, Julie's expertise includes Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon and water footprinting of products and services, in addition to sustainability strategy in the electronics and IT, bio- and fossil-based fuels and chemicals, agriculture and food, textiles and apparel and building and construction sectors. Dr. Sinistore holds a PhD in Biological Systems Engineering and a M.Sc. in Agroecology from UW-Madison, and a BS in Natural Resource Management from Cook College of Rutgers University. Julie's sustainability strategy experience spans a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors, from government and universities to start-ups and Fortune 500 companies, to implement and expand sustainability throughout their organizations. As an adept teacher, Dr. Sinistore taught courses topics including Life Cycle Thinking, Sustainable Product Design and Renewable Energy at UC-Berkeley, UW-Madison, and Rutgers University. Julie is a member of the board of the American Center for Life Cycle Assessment (ACLCA) and serves treasurer on the executive committee. Additionally, Julie is an individual Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) verifier with The International EPD ® system (IES) and is a member of IES' technical committee. Julie also serves on the ISO/TC Technical Committee (TC) 207 on Environmental Management which overseas developments of and revisions to new and existing ISO standards related to LCA.
