Advisory Board Member and former SVP, Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer and Chair, Roosevelt Project's Iron & Steel Industry & US Steel Corporation, Rich most recently served as SVP, Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer for United States Steel Corporation, and as Chair of the U. S. Steel Foundation, where he led the Strategy, Sustainability and Government Affairs functions.   He previously also was responsible for Environmental Affairs, Corporate Communications and Innovation.   He began at U. S. Steel in the Law Department, eventually serving Interim General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.   He has served in legal roles at Westinghouse Electric Company, Alcoa and in law firms in Pittsburgh and Washington, D. C.   Earlier in his career, he served in national security roles with the U.S. Departments of State and Defense.   He holds a JD from the University of Virginia, an MPP from Harvard and a BSFS from Georgetown.
