Rusty Bell is a Campbell County, Wyoming native. He is a small business owner and served as a Campbell County Commissioner for 8 years. Currently Rusty is the Director of the Office of Economic Transformation in Campbell County. Rusty has been involved with the IWG, Advisory Board for REE, CCUS Taskforce, Building Resilient Economies in Coal Communities as well many state and local economic development initiatives. Campbell County, Wyoming is home to about 40% of the nation’s annual thermal coal. It is also home to the Integrated Test Center (ITC), Carbon SAFE project, Wyoming Innovation Center, 5 coal fired power plants and 12 active open pit coal mines.
